Reflection Portrait - Seattle Portraits - 01 - Renee
1.3 Megapixel Samsung Camera Phone
This is a portrait shot of my friend Renee who I met at the AP studio Art conference in Bellvue, Washington this June. I had however met Renee at a few other conferences earlier, and hopefully will see her in the future at the OAEA conference in the Fall, so that said conference will become a way for me to stay in touch with other art teachers from around Oregon.
We were walking around downtown Seattle, after having toured the Seattle Art Museum, and saw this building with it's nearly razor sharp metal covered edge, which I figured would split the skull of any bicyclist that happened to accidentally run into it. I saw Renee's reflection on the side of the building and knew I had to take the shot. Unfortunately it was my last shot, before my camera was overfilled and so I was able to only get an ok version of the shot.
As a note, I have edited this shot, cropping in and also slightly improving the image quality.

the way she is standing is a bit odd, her feet forward but her torso sort of curved off to the side.
that wall looks like something you'd see at a public swimming pool and the multiple reflections are kinda' neat. xD
