"Summer Stories 2009 - Bridge to Nowhere"
Olympus E-500 Digital SLR
This is my homage to the Alaskan Bridge to nowhere, made famous of late by the focus on Alaskan politics and its eccentricities. I wanted to get a photography of the Thomas Creek bridge, the highest bridge in Oregon, at 345ft. above the creek far below. It was just a few miles from the cabin we rented just North of Brookings, Oregon. However that morning the fog was so thick (as seen in my pictures of Whale's Head Beach from earlier that morn) that I could only see a part of it's 900ft span. I liked the mystery of the bridge dissipating into nothingness enough that I decided to take the shot.
